2012 ChooseWell Incentive

At LG&E and KU, we offer excellent wellness benefits and resources to help you and your families enjoy good health and are again offering a ChooseWell incentive to encourage and reward healthy lifestyle choices.

For 2012, we're introducing an employee incentive of $150 for employees who choose from an array of wellness actions and successfully achieve their wellness goals. These action items have been selected to help reduce the major risk factors within our employee population and to support participation in the wellness activities we offer.

You may select from among 14 specific activities on a wellness "scorecard" to address your personal health goals. Each activity — such as attending a health fair, getting a flu shot, exercising regularly, stopping tobacco use — has a pre-assigned number of points. To receive the incentive, you must complete activities which total a minimum of 100 points. (This online scorecard will be also be available at company WellFairs.)

During Open Enrollment 2012, employees will verify the points they earned. You do not need to submit the scorecard; it is for you to track your progress against your wellness goal. In the first quarter of 2013, $150 will be deposited into your HCRA if you achieved your wellness goal.
