In order to meet pending environmental regulations and future load growth, Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company (the "Companies") are evaluating alternatives means to provide least-cost firm generating capacity and energy to our customers. To this end, the Companies are requesting proposals from parties wishing to sell capacity and energy that will qualify as a Designated Network Resource (DNR) either as an owned asset by the Companies or a Power Purchase Agreement with the Companies.
