E.ON U.S. Employees Make Plans to E-Cycle

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As often as technology is upgraded, you can quickly accumulate a variety of electronic trash in your household or work space. Because many of us often wonder what to do with these materials once we no longer use them, E.ON U.S. will hold an 'E-Cycle with E.ON U.S.' event so employees can properly dispose of the materials in an environmentally-efficient manner.

What:
'E-Cycle with E.ON U.S.'

Put together by an internal company program designed to reduce waste and increase energy efficiency in the work place, the E.ON U.S. Environmental Champions program will host the event with Louisville-based 2trg recycling company. Employees are encouraged to bring in items such as cell phones, batteries and old computers so that they can be refurbished and reused as second-hand equipment for various community organizations.

Employees from all E.ON U.S. facilities can bring in as many techno items as they wish without having to pay any drop-off fees on the day of the event.

When:
Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where:
LG&E Broadway Office Complex (8th street loading dock)
