Public Forum to Be Held on West Point Well Issues
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On Thursday, February 26, residents of West Point can attend a public forum at West Point Elementary School to discuss issues relating to natural gas safety and gas wells in the West Point area.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., state officials will be on hand to answer questions and provide details about the Kentucky Division of Oil and Gas well-plugging program. In addition, LG&E representatives will offer details about natural gas safety and how to identify and respond to a natural gas leak.
LG&E recently mailed a letter to all West Point residents notifying them of the public forum and inviting them to attend.
LG&E is a wholly-owned subsidiary of E.ON U.S. LLC that serves 326,000 natural gas and 401,000 electric customers in Louisville, Ky., and 16 surrounding counties.
