E.ON U.S. Receives First Place in J.D. Power Study

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For the second year in a row, E.ON U.S. has received the highest ranking in the Midwest in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study.

Overall, customer satisfaction is measured through power quality and reliability; customer service; company image; billing and payment; price; and customer communications.

This year, in the 2008 study, customer service, billing, and payment factors saw the largest increase in improvements from 2007. Power quality, reliability and communications ratings also improved while company image and price ratings have remained the same.

"Our employees have worked tirelessly to demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction, and this award is a true testament to their hard work," said Victor A. Staffieri, Chairman, CEO, and President of E.ON U.S. "Our utmost gratitude and appreciation goes out to our customers for giving us such high marks."

The results of the study are based on interviews with representatives of more than 13,500 U.S. businesses that spend between $500 and $50,000 monthly on electricity.

In 2007, E.ON U.S. also placed first in the Midwest in both the residential and business Electric Utility Customer Satisfaction Studies. Since 1999, E.ON U.S. has won 18 awards in the J.D. Power Survey.
