Traffic Changes on Main and Third Streets Begin Tomorrow


LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As preparations continue for the new downtown arena, all lanes of Third Street, between River Road and Main Street, will be closed starting 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Oct. 26. One lane of Third Street will re-open to southbound traffic at 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29.

Additionally, the three most northern lanes of Main Street, including the parking lane will re-open to traffic tomorrow evening. Beginning the week of Oct. 29, construction work will close the two most southern lanes of Main Street, including the parking lane.

Crews will continue to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to complete the work as soon as possible.
