LG&E, KU, and Project Warm Partner to Hold Free Energy Management Workshop
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In an effort to help customers use energy wisely this heating season, Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E), Kentucky Utilities Company (KU), and Project Warm are partnering to offer a free energy management workshop to educate the public about weatherization and conservation.
LG&E, KU, and Project Warm representatives will provide conservation tips and demonstrate weatherization techniques next Monday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium of First Baptist Church located at 730 Tonieville Rd. in Hodgenville.
"By teaching weatherization and conservation techniques, this workshop will help families take more control over their energy usage," said John P. Malloy, E.ON U.S. Vice President of Energy Delivery — Retail Business. "Workshop participants leave with the knowledge and the supplies they need to take simple and effective energy-saving actions at home."
Every workshop participant will receive a free weatherization kit containing plastic sheeting, tape, compact fluorescent light-bulbs, wall plates, rope caulk, tacks, and a brochure that includes weatherization and conservation tips to help control energy usage. No appointment is necessary to attend the workshop and participants can register at the door.
