LG&E, Project Warm Partner to Hold Free Energy Management Workshops

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In an effort to help customers use energy wisely this heating season, Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E) and Project Warm are partnering once again to offer free energy management workshops to educate the public about weatherization and conservation.

LG&E and Project Warm representatives will provide conservation tips and demonstrate weatherization techniques next Monday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. in the lobby of LG&E's Broadway Office Complex located at 820 W. Broadway. (A complete list of upcoming workshops follows below.)

"By teaching weatherization and conservation techniques, these workshops help families take more control over their energy usage," said John P. Malloy, E.ON U.S. Vice President of Energy Delivery — Retail Business. "Workshop participants leave with the knowledge and the supplies they need to take simple and effective energy-saving actions at home."

Every workshop participant will receive a free weatherization kit containing plastic sheeting, tape, wall plates, rope caulk, tacks, and a brochure that includes weatherization and conservation tips to help control energy usage. No appointment is necessary to attend workshops at LG&E's Broadway Office Complex. Workshops at other locations require registration.
