LG&E, Project Warm To Offer Free Energy Management Workshops
10.13.2006

(Louisville, Ky.) Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Project Warm are partnering once again to offer free energy management workshops to educate the public about weatherization and conservation.

The first workshops to prepare customers for the upcoming heating season will be held on Oct. 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. in the lobby of LG&E's Broadway Office Complex located at 820 W. Broadway. LG&E and Project Warm representatives will offer conservation tips and demonstrate weatherization techniques.

"Conservation and weatherization are effective ways to combat high heating bills," said Chip Keeling, E.ON U.S.'s Vice President of Communications for E.ON U.S. "We urge our customers to prepare now to learn how to control usage this winter, and these workshops will help equip customers with the necessary knowledge."

Every workshop participant will receive a free weatherization kit containing plastic sheeting, tape, wall plates, rope caulk, tacks, and a brochure that includes weatherization and conservation tips to help control usage.

No appointment is necessary to attend workshops at LG&E's Broadway Office Complex. Workshops at other locations require registration.

LG&E has supported Project Warm since its inception in 1982. Its mission is to provide conservation services and education, and to promote energy-saving practices in the community. For more information on energy-saving tips, visit www.lge-ku.com and www.projectwarm.org.
