I-64 To Be Closed for Brief Periods Late Tonight into Early Tomorrow Morning
(Louisville, Ky. - January 24, 2005) Interstate 64 in Louisville near English Station Rd. (mile marker 25), will be closed for brief periods between 10 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. tomorrow morning in order to accommodate work on a transmission line.
The work has been coordinated and timed to minimize inconvenience, while maximizing safety. Motorists will be stopped for rolling 15-minute periods in both directions. LG&E and the Kentucky Department of Transportation urge drivers to take extra care during this period and/or consider alternate routes.
LG&E customers in the surrounding area will not experience any loss of power while the work is being performed.
