Hoopin' to Help Out Children: LG&E Energy Foundation Streetball Showdown is This Weekend
WHO: Over 500 teams featuring 2,500 players of all ages and an expected 60,000 spectators from all across Kentucky and southern Indiana will compete this weekend in the 18th Annual LG&E Energy Foundation Streetball Showdown.
WHAT: The LG&E Energy Foundation Streetball Showdown is one of the region's premier 3-on-3 basketball tournaments. The tournament has divisions for youth, men, women, co-eds, wheelchair athletes, and local media outlets based on age, height, and skill level. The teams will be competing this weekend in the major fund-raiser for The Cabbage Patch - a 94-year-old non-profit organization that empowers families and children to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their social, emotional, physical, moral, spiritual, economic and educational potential.
