LG&E Energy Foundation Powers Patriot Game II: The Rematch
(Louisville, Ky. - Tuesday, August 03, 2004) Police and firefighters normally have the same goal: to save lives. But at 10 a.m. this Friday, at the Meijer store on Dixie Highway, both groups will announce their intentions to face-off again to score goals as part of a fund-raiser for The Healing Place.
The LG&E Energy Foundation, The Healing Place and Meijer will host a news conference announcing the second annual Patriot Game, a basketball game between the Louisville Metro Police Department and Louisville Fire & Rescue. This year's event, sponsored again by the LG&E Energy Foundation, will be held on Sept. 9 at Bellarmine University, Knights Hall.
The Patriot Game is designed to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11, honor the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department and Louisville Fire & Rescue, and raise needed funds for The Healing Place.
