You can help the environment and save energy, too. Whether you choose our traditional switch program, which pays you to help the environment, or our programmable thermostat option where you have the potential to realize year-round savings, you can "Demand Conservation."
Sign up for our Demand Conservation program today. You can reduce energy demand by signing up for a device that we connect to your central air conditioner, heat pump or electric water heater, or a programmable thermostat.
Demand Conservation helps reduce peak demand, which enables us to use our power plants more efficiently and delay the addition of new ones.

Identifying Our Employees
If someone appears at your door stating that they are there on our behalf, don't hesitate to ask to see the person's company-issued employee or contractor identification card. An authentic identification card shows our company logo, the employee's name and color photograph on the front. If you like, ask the person to present a second form of identification, such as a driver's license.
If you have any questions about the person's identity or reason for needing to enter your home, ask him or her to wait outside while you call us. We can verify that the person is working on our behalf and that they have a legitimate reason for needing to come inside your home. You should always call us for verification if you did not ask to have a representative visit you.
Our employees won't mind waiting while you make the call. Safety is a priority for us, and our employees want you to be safe.
Give HUGs year-round
Due to tremendous interest and customer demand, LG&E has decided to expand its Holiday Utility Gift (HUG) certificate program to make the certificates available year-round. The new gift certificates — called Home Utility Gift (HUG) certificates — are on sale now.
A HUG is a gift certificate that credits the utility account of any LG&E customer.
HUGs are available during normal business hours at any customer service walk-in center. They can be purchased in any denomination over $25. Be prepared to provide the name and address of the HUG recipient when making your purchase.
