Diversity is a long-term strategic commitment at LG&E and KU, and it is core to how we do business. It is a responsibility shared by all company officers, managers and employees.
In 2002, the company formed an officer-led Corporate Diversity Council to oversee internal and external diversity initiatives companywide. The Council's goal is an inclusive workplace that emphasizes fairness, recognizes each individual's unique value, and sees differences as an opportunity to improve the organization. The Council has representatives from across the company's lines of business and support areas to ensure the success of our diversity initiatives:

- Communicate Diversity Initiatives
- Support Inclusive Community Outreach
- Foster a Culture that Encourages Diversity
To further focus on these initiatives, two key management roles — one focused on employee diversity, the other on supplier diversity — lead our internal efforts.
