LG&E and KU
Home Energy Analysis
(previously known as Residential Energy Audit)

No matter the size or age of your home, you can find ways to reduce your energy use and costs. The first step is to discover which parts of your home use the most energy. To help you, we offer two types of home energy analysis — online and on-site — that can pinpoint those areas and provide expert tips on the most cost-effective ways to save.

Online Energy Analysis

Now, you can perform an energy analysis online at your convenience. There's no need to schedule an appointment or take time off work to meet with an energy analyst.

Simply register your account using LG&E and KU's My Account, then go to our Online Energy Analysis. You'll get energy- and cost-saving tips from our experts based on your usage history and information you provide about your home and energy use habits.

On-Site Energy Analysis

If you prefer the assistance of a professional, you can sign up for an on-site analysis. (You may want to perform an online analysis first to determine whether you need to schedule an on-site analysis.)

Our certified technician will visit your home to help you develop a customized list of energy-saving measures. The technician will use specialized equipment, such as a blower door, to analyze your home's energy efficiency and check for leaks and drafts.

You will also receive energy-saving products such as compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs and water restrictors to help you get started without making major changes.

After the analysis, you will receive a detailed report that outlines your energy usage. It will include a list of energy-saving measures appropriate for your home and an estimate of what it will cost to apply those measures.

A $25 fee is charged for on-site home energy analysis.
